Dall Energy work on Biomass to Energy in
three levels:

• Research
• Pilot plants
• Implementation of project

In this spring we have had good success on all three levels.

The number of heat consumers in Bogense is constantly increasing, so Bogense district heating needed a new production plant.

Peter Lind, the chief operator of Bogense district heating, saw the 2 MW pilot plant in operation in December 2009.  As the operation was stable and the environmental figures was convincing negotiations of a plant for Bogense was initiated.

In february 2010 a EUDP grant for a demonstration project was given to Dall Energy and our partner SEM steelindusty.

In may 2010 the contract with Bogense was made. The plant is expected to be in operation in the beginning of 2011.

Peter Lind : "We have made an agreement with the municipality about using wood from our parks and gardens, and this way we can supply our town with CO2 neutral energy".

June 17 a group of Danish Biomass plant operators had their annual meeting in Odense.

Dall Energy was invited to make a presentation about our new solutions. We had focus on our furnace and condensate filter.

After the meeting, the operators visited our 2 MW furnace at SEM steelindustry.

Dall Energy now introduce a new condensate filter together with Løkken VVS.

The filter :

• is fully automatic
• is compact
• give a very clean condensate

Power and heat can be produced from a biomass gasification as the biomass can be converted into gas which then is used in a gas engine which produce power and heat.

The "two-stage gasification" process has been developed in Denmark and now a demontration project is beeing prepared in Hillerød.

Dall Energy and COWI A/S are consultants.

DTU-Risoe is University partner.

Dall Energy and FORCE Technologies have recieved a recearch grant from The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.

During the next 18 months we will investigate and verify the low emissions of our furnace with focus on NOx. 

We will use CFD simulations and calibrate the model with measurements made on a Dall Energy furnace.

The project will be done in close co operation with the CHEC group at DTU.
