New Dall Energy Biomass FurnaceDall Energy has designed a new innovative biomass combustion furnace.
SEM steelindusty, at Soendersoe in Fynen, Denmark have built a 2 MW demonstration plant. The furnace have been tested and exeptional results with biomass combustion have been verified.
Bjørn Teislev, R&D engineer at Dall Energy "We had already a lot of experience with biomass combustion and gasification before we started this project, and we gave our selves a big challenge: Design af furnace that is simple to produce, service and operate and also have full fuel conversion and low environmental impact. It was a great help that FORCE made CFD calculations of the gas combustion chamber. Hereby we were pretty sure that we could meet the targets of emissions and turn down ratio."
Claus Geest, Gasification Denmark. "We know already that updraft gasification is a robust and flexibile way to convert biomasss into gas. By combusting the gas in the same reactor we eliminate all problems of tar condensation"
Anders Svehag, Director SEM steelindustry. "At SEM we have extensive experience with manufacturing for the energy and the waste sector. Small scale biomass plants are rather new to us, but we expect a lot from this market, which will grow in the coming years"
Jens Dall Bentzen, Director Dall Energy "The furnace is the heart of a biomass plant. It is essential with a good furnace. This furnace reduce CO and dust emissions about 90%, and we cut manufacturing and maintanance costs as well. We now look forward to demonstrate total solutions which include further improvements such as a very high total efficiency. We are please that EUDP (Energistyrelsen Udviklings- og demonstrationsprogram) supported this project. The financial support was essential for the verification"

Dall Energy at Bright Green, COP15The 12. and 13. of december this year Dall Energy was part of the Bright Green Exhibition in connection to the COP15. Our stand focussed on the new Biomass furnace. When people understands the simple pinciples of furnace, the interest raise. When they heared about the low emissions and the low maintance costs because of the no moving parts in hot zones, and got really interested. The Bright Green Exhibition had visitors from all over the world and we had guests from Canada, India, Kenya, Norway, USA, England, Ireland, Sweden, Ghana, Pakistan, China. |
